Furrtropolis LLC
To keep every dog safe, healthy, and happy, we ask all pet parents to review our policies and requirements. This page outlines vaccination requirements, temperament expectations, arrival and pickup procedures, and other important guidelines. Complying to these policies helps us provide a positive daycare, boarding, grooming, and enrichment experience for every guest.
The following policies are operational policies and may be updated by Furrtropolis LLC at any time.

Vaccination and Health Requirements
Current Vaccination Requirements
Dogs:
- Rabies
- DAPP / DHPP
- Bordetella
- Canine Influenza (if applicable)
Cats:
- Rabies
- FVRCP
- Feline Leukemia (if applicable)
Additional Requirements
- Current vaccination records must be provided by a licensed veterinarian.
- Owner-administered vaccinations are not accepted.
- Additional vaccination, health, parasite prevention, or participation requirements may be implemented as recommended by veterinary professionals or required by Furrtropolis.
- Participation in certain services may require additional vaccinations. Pets that do not meet specific vaccination requirements may be restricted from certain services and may instead be placed in individualized care programs, enrichment-based care, or other alternative participation options.
Fecal Requirements
- Furrtropolis may require a negative fecal test for participation in certain services.
- Fecal testing requirements may vary based on service type, age, medical history, or facility policies.
Daycare Admission Requirements
- All dogs must complete an evaluation before participating in daycare.
- Dogs must demonstrate behavior suitable for the daycare environment.
- Dogs displaying aggression toward people may be denied participation.
- Dogs that are not appropriate candidates for group play may be assigned to individualized care programs, enrichment-based care, training-based care, exercise programs, or other customized services as determined by Furrtropolis.
- Participation in one or more activity-based services may be required during their stay.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to evaluate and re-evaluate dogs at any time.
Daycare Policies
Half Day
- A Half Day consists of up to 5 hours
Full Day
- Dogs exceeding the Half Day time limit may be charged the applicable Full Day rate.
Reservations
- Reservations are strongly recommended.
- Capacity restrictions may apply.
- Same-day requests are not guaranteed.
Drop-In Visits
- Acceptance is subject to availability and management approval.
Evaluation Policy
- Evaluations are by appointment only.
- A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations.
- A 10-minute grace period is provided.
- Late arrivals may require rescheduling.
- Missed evaluations, no-shows, or late cancellations may result in applicable fees.
Boarding Policies
Reservations
- Boarding reservations may require deposits.
- Peak season and holiday reservations may require additional deposits or fees.
Holiday & Peak Period Policies
- During holidays, peak periods, emergencies, or periods of high demand, additional restrictions, deposits, minimum stay requirements, cancellation policies, or fees may apply.
Check-In & Check-Out
- Current check-in and check-out procedures are available from Furrtropolis and may be modified at any time.
Food & Medication
- Owners are responsible for providing adequate food, medications, supplements, feeding instructions, and care instructions for the duration of their pet’s stay.
- Food and medication must be clearly labeled.
- House food may be available for an additional fee.
- Medication administration fees may apply.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to provide substitute food, supplies, or care items if necessary, and associated charges may apply.
Medication Requirements
- All medications must be provided in their original containers or clearly labeled packaging.
- Owners must provide complete administration instructions.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to refuse administration of medications that are improperly labeled, expired, damaged, incomplete, or deemed unsafe.
- Additional fees may apply for medication administration and specialized medical care.
Boarding Requirements
- Additional requirements may apply for first-time boarders.
- Evaluations may be required before boarding participation.
- Pets that are not appropriate for group play may be required to participate in individualized care, enrichment activities, training sessions, exercise programs, or other customized services during their stay.
Senior Pet & Medical Clearance Policy
At Furrtropolis, the health, safety, and well-being of every pet is our top priority.
Senior Pets
- Dogs aged 10 years and older may be required to provide current veterinary clearance confirming they are healthy enough to safely participate in daycare, boarding, enrichment activities, training, walks, or other services offered by Furrtropolis.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to request updated veterinary clearance at any time based on a pet’s age, health status, behavior, mobility, or participation level.
Medical Conditions
- Pets with known medical conditions, chronic illnesses, mobility limitations, recent surgeries, injuries, seizures, heart conditions, respiratory concerns, neurological disorders, or other health-related concerns may also be required to provide veterinary clearance prior to participation in services.
- Veterinary clearance must be provided by a licensed veterinarian and may be required prior to admission, continued participation, or re-admission following illness, injury, surgery, or other health-related events.
- The veterinary clearance should confirm that the pet is medically stable and capable of safely participating in the requested services.
Additional Care Requirements
Depending on a pet’s age, medical condition, mobility level, behavior, or overall health, Furrtropolis may:
- Require additional evaluations
- Modify participation in services
- Recommend individualized care
- Require enrichment-based care instead of group play
- Require additional monitoring
- Decline participation if deemed unsafe
Owner Responsibility
- Owners are responsible for notifying Furrtropolis of any changes to their pet’s health, medications, mobility, behavior, or medical condition prior to participation in services.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or modify services if sufficient medical information is not provided or if participation is deemed unsafe for the pet, staff, or other animals.
Group Play & Individualized Care
Not all dogs are suitable for group play environments.
- Participation in daycare or boarding services does not guarantee participation in group play.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to determine appropriate participation levels based on safety, health, behavior, welfare, compatibility, operational needs, and staff recommendations.
Dogs that are unable to safely participate in daycare playgroups due to behavior, temperament, age, medical concerns, training requirements, owner preference, vaccination status, reproductive status, or other factors may be placed in an individualized care program.
Dogs that are intact, in season, recovering from illness or injury, lacking required vaccinations, exhibiting behavioral concerns, or otherwise deemed unsuitable for group play may be assigned to individualized care programs.
Dogs participating in individualized care may be required to participate in one or more enrichment, exercise, training, socialization, or activity-based services during their stay.
Examples may include:
- Structured walks
- Treadmill sessions
- Training sessions
- Enrichment activities
- Play sessions with staff
- Calm care activities
- Sensory enrichment
- Customized activity plans
Furrtropolis reserves the right to determine appropriate activity requirements based on the dog’s needs, length of stay, behavior, energy level, and overall welfare.
Furrtropolis reserves the right to determine whether a pet participates in group play, individualized care, enrichment programs, training activities, exercise programs, or a combination thereof based on safety, behavior, health, welfare, and operational considerations.
Additional charges may apply for individualized care, enrichment services, training sessions, exercise programs, or other activity-based services.
Pet Welfare Standards
Furrtropolis is committed to maintaining the health, safety, and welfare of all pets in our care.
Furrtropolis reserves the right to modify services, housing arrangements, participation levels, activity schedules, handling procedures, care plans, playgroup participation, enrichment requirements, or boarding arrangements whenever deemed necessary for the physical or emotional well-being of a pet, the safety of staff, or the safety of other animals.
Spray / Neuter Policy
- Dogs participating in group play may be required to be spayed or neutered after a designated age.
- Female dogs in heat may be restricted from group play.
- Alternative care options may be required.
- Cats may also be subject to spay/neuter requirements.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to make exceptions at its discretion.
Working & Sports Dogs
- Working dogs, sport dogs, and dogs requiring specialized handling may participate in individualized care programs.
- Additional enrichment, exercise, handling, or training services may be available for an additional fee.
Grooming Policies
Health Requirements
- Pets must be healthy enough to safely participate in grooming services.
Matted Coat Policy
- Severely matted pets may require shaving for health and safety reasons.
- Additional grooming fees may apply.
- Furrtropolis reserves the right to determine the safest grooming approach.
Flea & Tick Treatment
- Pets presenting with fleas or ticks may receive appropriate treatment.
- Additional charges may apply.
Handling Requirements - Pets requiring additional handling, behavioral support, additional staffing, specialized equipment, safety precautions, extended appointment times, or modified grooming procedures may incur additional fees.
Senior Pets
- Grooming services for senior pets may involve increased risk due to age-related health conditions.
Owner Communication Responsibilities
Owners are responsible for maintaining accurate information on file and notifying Furrtropolis of any changes.
This includes:
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Emergency contacts
- Veterinary information
- Medical conditions
- Medications
- Behavioral concerns
- Bite history
- Reactivity
- Escape tendencies
Owners must maintain at least one emergency contact who is authorized to make decisions regarding the pet’s care and retrieve the pet if the Owner cannot be reached.
Failure to maintain accurate information may impact participation in services.
Additional Fees & Service Charges
The following fees may apply depending on services provided:
- Late pick-up fees
- No-show fees
- Cancellation fees
- Evaluation fee
- Handling fees
- Individualized care fees
- Transportation fees
- Emergency transportation fees
- Veterinary transport fees
- Medication administration fees
- Extended stay fees
- Boarding fees
- Cleaning fees
- Flea/tick treatment fees
- Enrichment fees
- Administrative fees
- Property damage charges
- Specialized care fees

Transportation Policy
Furrtropolis may provide transportation services when necessary or requested.
Transportation services may include:
- Veterinary transportation
- Emergency transportation
- Scheduled transportation
- Field trips
- Events
- Other approved activities
Transportation fees may apply.
Emergency Evacuations & Facility Emergencies
In the event of a wildfire, flood, severe weather, power outage, public emergency, evacuation order, facility emergency, or other unforeseen circumstance, Furrtropolis may relocate pets, modify services, alter housing arrangements, transport pets, or take other actions deemed necessary to protect the health, safety, and welfare of pets and staff.
Authorized Pick-Up Policy
Owners must notify Furrtropolis before authorizing another individual to pick up their pet.
Owners must provide:
- Full legal name of authorized individual
- Any requested contact information
Authorized individuals may be required to present government-issued identification.
Furrtropolis reserves the right to deny release if authorization cannot be verified.
Personal Belongings
- Owners may provide personal belongings including beds, blankets, toys, bowls, leashes, collars, harnesses, clothing, food containers, and other personal items.
- Personal belongings may become damaged, lost, soiled, chewed, destroyed, or misplaced during participation in services.
- Furrtropolis is not responsible for damage to, loss of, or replacement of personal belongings brought into the facility.
Operating Hours
Current operating hours, holiday schedules, check-in times, check-out times, and service availability are published separately and may change without notice.
Right of Refusal
Furrtropolis reserves the right to refuse services, modify participation, remove pets from
services, or deny admission when deemed necessary for safety, health, operational,
behavioral, welfare, or business reasons.
